1. How does GoWishMe work?

GoWishMe is an online platform that allows creators to share wishlists and receive voluntary contributions from their supporters, known as “Fans.” Fans can contribute using credit cards, debit cards, or Apple Pay. Once a fan contributes, creators can withdraw their earnings directly to their bank account, provided they complete the required identity verification (KYC/AML).

 

2. Do I need an account to make a contribution?

No, fans do not need to create an account to make a contribution. Simply visit the creator’s wishlist and select the amount you wish to contribute. You will be required to provide payment information, and the transaction will be processed securely.

 

3. How can I make a contribution?

You can make a contribution to a creator’s wishlist using:

  • Credit cards
  • Debit cards
  • Apple Pay

All contributions are processed securely in fiat currency (e.g., USD) via trusted third-party payment processors.

 

4. Is there a limit to how much I can contribute?

Yes, the maximum contribution per transaction is $2,000. If you attempt to contribute more than this amount, the transaction may be declined.

 

5. What fees does GoWishMe charge?

GoWishMe charges a 20% platform fee on each contribution. This fee is included in the total amount paid by the fan. The creator will receive the contribution amount minus the platform fee. Fans are responsible for the 20% platform fee, which is reflected during checkout. The fee does not reduce the amount shown on the creator’s wishlist.

 

6. How does GoWishMe handle payments to creators?

Creators receive payouts in fiat currency (e.g., USD) via bank transfer. To be eligible for payouts, creators must complete KYC/AML verification and provide valid payout information.
Payouts are processed within 3-5 business days after the creator’s information is verified.

 

7. Do creators need to verify their identity?

Yes, creators must complete KYC/AML verification to comply with legal requirements. This process involves submitting government-issued identification and other relevant documents to verify identity before payouts are processed.

 

8. Are there any refunds on contributions?

Contributions are final and non-refundable, except in cases of verified technical errors or fraudulent transactions. If you believe there was an issue with your contribution, please contact our support team for assistance.

 

9. How does GoWishMe protect my payment information?

GoWishMe uses secure third-party payment processors to handle transactions. We do not store sensitive payment information on our servers. All payment data is processed securely by our payment processors, which are compliant with relevant payment industry security standards.

 

10. How does GoWishMe comply with data privacy laws?

GoWishMe is committed to protecting your privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws, such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), depending on your location.

Your Data Rights:

  • You can request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
  • You can download your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.

11. Is GoWishMe available in my country?

GoWishMe accepts contributions from fans in most countries, though there may be certain restrictions due to legal or compliance reasons. You can check the full list of supported countries in our Terms of Service.

 

12. What happens if a payment is flagged for fraud or chargeback?

GoWishMe works with payment processors that monitor and prevent fraud. If a payment is flagged as fraudulent or if a chargeback is initiated, we will follow the payment processor’s guidelines to resolve the issue. This may involve suspending accounts and, where necessary, reporting the incident to authorities.

 

13. What happens if I breach the Terms of Service?

If you violate our Terms of Service, we reserve the right to:

  • Remove any offending content.
  • Suspend or terminate your account.
  • Report illegal activities to the appropriate authorities.

14. Can I request to delete my personal data?

15. What happens if my payout fails?

If a payout fails due to incorrect bank details or issues with the payment processor, the payout will be delayed. You will be contacted to update your payout information. Failed payouts may take up to 10 business days to resolve, depending on the payment processor.
